President's Message - June 23, 2025

From the President:

Fellow DNA Members:

First off, I want to extend my appreciation to David McDonald for his long and productive tenure as our President and for the incredible amount of time, energy and passion that he has infused into our organization. Even today, he is supporting your new DNA Board and collaborating with us to ensure that we have a smooth transition and keep the momentum going into this next year. Thank You David and we welcome your continued participation as Past President and active member at large.

Secondly, welcome to the new board members both returning and to those stepping into a new role. As we ease into summer, rest assured that the momentum we have as a tailwind from last year will continue. I look forward to working with all of you and to all of the work we will be doing together.

For all of the membership, I have a homework assignment for you:

Our organization is only as strong as our members are willing to participate. Your homework assignment is this . . . When we send out a membership survey, please take the time to send us your responses, when we pass along a development concern that will be heard at a public planning hearing, please send in your comments to the appropriate board hearing the proposal (HDBR, ZBA, Historic Site and Monument Commission etc.)

Participate!!!!! Your Voice Matters, and we are stronger when we respond to issues of concern in numbers.
